“Retro” moves from WXXL-HD3 to WRUM-HD3 and 97.9 FM

@DJ Mo, I've been reporting on potential format changes via domain registrations for 20 years now. While it's not a perfect source as many companies make last minute changes and register decoys, in Orlando alone I have reported on the following changes ahead of time just since 2018...

103.1 The Wolf to Fly
95.3 to El Zol
96.5 to Exitos
107.3 to WDBO
102.5 to La Z
And why 101.9 was forced to drop "Alt" for "FM 101.9"

And your point about not knowing how to do so, is why we charge a very low amount for it. Also those premium subscriptions are also what keeps RadioInsight.com and now RadioDiscussions.com alive.

Which is why Radioinsight is one of the few sites i so gladly pay for. I get so much useful, timely information from the site

Yes, they recently updated the top-of-the-hour legal ID on AM 810 WRSO to identify both the station and WXXL’s HD3 subchannel.
More than 2 weeks later they are still running sweepers that say they can be heard on 97.9. I know as of this writing (7:52PM), that floor of the building in Maitland has only 1 person that they have to have there to babysit the automation on all the stations (unless WTKS is still live at this time). But isn't there someone there during business hours with half a brain that knows it's wrong to lead potential listeners to a station that doesn't exist?

I'm surprised they even have someone in the building to do that. Most clusters just have someone on call to tap in remotely if something needs adjusted.

Yup and with technology what it is today, its amazing what you can do with it. I know several public radio stations in FL who can switch to emergency coverage mode with a tablet from home.
