“The Bold & The Beautiful” to start the drama with a 24/7 YouTube channel

Feels too exclusive to me, add more soaps and you increase the chance of people wanting to get it. If they included Young and the Restless, for instance (which I thought had the same owners), I could see at some point subscribing to watch the old half hour episodes that I didn't watch since I was a kid, and no little kids like soap operas. And I don't even watch that show regularly anymore in my 50s, but I did follow it from college age into my 30s. Include other soaps and you could get more people like me.

There’s no need to do that. They’re sitting on the archives, and if super fans of that show are willing to part with their hard-earned paycheck to watch ancient, comically bad soap reruns, more power to them. Low cost to start up, whatever they take in is bonus cash. If other owners have the rights to their libraries they could do the same and collect their own extra bucks. It’s clearly a niche channel for a very specific audience.

It's a good idea, for the Bold and the Beautiful. I'm not sure about if this channel will have international clearances, but B&B is the most popular (English language) soap opera in the world. If the Bells can get into foreign markets, they will make a lot of money.
