“The Price Is Right” Leaving L.A.’s Television City

That's huge! I'm sure the transition will go well for CBS and for Drew Carey. I wonder if the set will be changed once they move over to Glendale. Like one poster said, they can't change TOO much or the loyal fans young and old will start complaining.
Meanwhile, Beat Shazam (which just earned season 6 on FOX) is moving its production from Television City to Ireland, probably for the same reasons.

They sold Television City in 2019. They sold the CBS Studio Center on Radford Avenue in 2021. They probably have a lease there for KCBS & KCAL TV. If they still need space, there's lots of room at the Paramount Pictures lot on Melrose.
how long before they sell that?

CBS mulls sale of its West 57th St broadcast center

Update Paramount mulls selling the West 57th Broadcast center offices.

Paramount continues to sell off CBS real estate, while keeping all Paramount real estate. What does that sound like?

West 57th is the home of Channel 2 WCBS, CBS News, and CBS News Radio. There was a nice commissary in there at one time. Not sure if it's still there. Paramount has lots of space around NY, including the old MTV studios on Times Square. CBS News has been doing some shows there because of the great location.

As one who was there many times, the renovations are long overdue.
It's the classic old studio that added wings and rooms bit by bit and became sort of a jigsaw puzzle or maze of architecture.

Paramount Protecting their own interests as a result of the CBS Viacom Merger.

It's quite the dark and murky labyrinth. In many ways it still looks like the old dairy it once was.
I had forgotten about the milky history of the complex... from the few times I was there, I realized you could get terminally lost just going to the rest room.

MTV Studios are in the Viacom building. That was never a paramount stage.

It was however once the NY office for Paramount Pictures, and there was a Paramount theater in part of the building.

The old marquee is still visible on the front of the building. Or it was the last time I was there.
