I want an all-instrumental music station, myself. Film and TV scores, instrumental rock, acoustic pieces, jazz, etc. Wordless 96.9!

Are you kidding? This is the all time worst Rock station I ever heard. Worse than WGIR. They are not going to stay with this.

Except, that people sometimes just want to hear music, even those most addicted to talk radio. I'm living proof of that.

The station, for the most part, is sounding great today. Just need some tweaks, a bit less of the cornball late '70s/early '80s Arena Rock, a bit more edgy stuff like Blue Oyster Cult, Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, and the old stand-bys like Zeppelin, Sabbath, Floyd, etc. A winning format in what remains a rock-oriented city. At least for a few more years, might as well go with it. The hipsters and trendsters already have their stations.
