How funny is it that no one is talking about this on the board here?
But hey on the Oklahoma board I'm not surprised.

For those of us that have been in the business a while this is old news.
These kinds of things have been going on in THIS market for years and the FCC is just now investigating?

Forget the pay for play for a moment and let's look at the play for goods! Without mentioning names I can tell you that several folks remain in this market who accepted boom boxes, concert tickets, money and listener giveaways in exchange for airplay of artists. They will tell you that it's not payola but any idiot knows it is!

My only hope is that these people have their own plan in place if and when the floor falls out.

Now we know why some the crap that they try to pass off for "music" is on the radio these days. It certainly isn't that the talent level is there.
