102.7 WLYK The Lake is Kingston's Christmas station. Started November 25th at 12:01AM with "Carpenters - Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)" last non Christmas song 11:58pm " Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"
 
Everybody is starting to go Christmas music now. Majic 103.1 went Christmas recently, not sure if their signal is that good over in Kingston, but WLYK covers Watertown decently.

Prior to going all Xmas, was Magic 103.1 still an AC? I had heard they went Hot AC the last year or so but wasn't sure, since their facebook page still shows John Tesh and Delilah on the sched... not something I usually hear on Hot AC radio...
 
WTOJ Majic 103.1 has a good signal in Kingston but if you go west of Kingston 103.1 CFMX starts to cut in and out. Majic is A/C not Hot A/C. Christmas music stations I get now 94.5 WYYY, 101.3 WRMM, 102.7 WLYK, 103.1 WTOJ, 97.3 WYXL

No they are still AC. WBDR 106.7 is Hot AC/Top 40 and shares a common owner. WTOJ used to be Hot AC back in the 90s I think, and once 106.7 started Top 40 103.1 switched.

WLYK and WTOJ Had a common owner but not anymore. WTOJ is owned by COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS and WLYK is owned by BORDER INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTING, INC %80 and ROGERS %20. The WTOJ studio is in the WLYK studio to transmitter link
COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS looks after the EBS for WLYK and meets the requirement for a U.S. studio.
 
With my revised home audio setup, featuring an Antennacraft FM6 attached to an Luxman R-1070, I'm now able to pick up WLYK here at home, just in time for the holidays. Of all the local 'Christmas' formats out there, WLYK seems to have the most agreeable, IMHO. :)
