Apparently the new Iran-Iraq government has Banned all Western Music. Isnt that a crock of Shiite......LOL..... Here is the old Domain for Hot fm 104.1 Baghdad http://expired.revenuedirect.com/park.php?domain-name=HOTFM104.com&site_id=4874 Also,,, Did you know that, before the war, their was a CHR station owned by Uday Husseine, with all western POP music..... That place is just weird... I also wonder if Hot Fm actually went off the air when the Sheraton Hotel was Bombed...... Hot Fm was actually located in the Sheraton, from Saddams old penthouse,,, Hot fm was tied to the U.S, and sounded like a U.S Chr station, Even offered live mixing, Dance and Hip Hop DJ Sessions, and also Streamed online with Shoutcast.. I wish I knew Exactly what happened to this station... It served an important role in Giving the U.S and British Troops a Familier sound from home. But now that the Iran Government took over, all Western music is banned.... I bet the (British Armed Forces Radio One) is still on the air, with their CHR format.

All Western music has been banned in Iran, but I don't believe the same holds true for Iraq.
The British forces do indeed have BFBS Radio 1, which can be heard in a number of cities and areas (106.9 in Baghdad). America has AFN Radio (107.7 FM Freedom Radio).
98.8 FM is owned by the same guys who operate Channel 4 in Dubai, which is a CHR in the UAE. Might be a CHR in Baghdad as well
