Why does Fine Arts Radio need TWO translators clogging up TWO frequencies from the SAME tower, where the original signal (WMNR) is near city grade strength and comes in clearly? Party 105.3 used to have great coverage of the CT shoreline, now it only goes up to Stratford before this garbage translator interferes with it. As per Party 105's myspace page, they had plenty of listeners in Connecticut before this useless translator signed on. There's another translator for WMNR on 91.9 at the same tower, which carries the exact same programming as WGRS. 91.9 goes further than 105.3 and it still is a useless translator that interferes with WLNG and WSHR. I could care less about the programming on Fine Arts Radio. Why not save money and get rid of the useless translators? At the same time, legitimate LPFM operators can't get a license because "the dial is full" and small market stations lose up to a quarter of their listeners because of the interference spewed out by the translators. The current 105.3 translator location would be a great location for a Party 105.3 booster, but that won't ever happen.
