105.5 St Augustine, FL. Hasta la vista Espanol... Simulcast of WRNR-FM Annapolis

Heard a short while ago tooling down the road - tuning to 105.5 St. Augustine revealed they dumped Hispanic music and is doing a simulcast of "WRNR FM 103.1" Annapolis, Maryland. In English. "We're Rock and Roll" is the website slogan... will this be the format, or is it a placeholder?

How long has this been going on? It's been a week almost since I checked.

Ron
Palm Coast, FL

this will be the format, new owner is the same who owns RNR in Annapolis. Veteran Programmer Steve Kingston and former WPLJ/NY morning girl Patty Steele. Rumor has it Lex and Terry will be the AM show.

Neat... think these guys have any interest in buying back into the Panama City market? Does 105.5 have a strong enough signal in Jacksonville to draw AAA listeners willing to deal with a little static on their car radios?

Tough call. 105.5 really does not penetrate into Jacksonville very well, but it WILL be worth trying, for me anyway.

If the new station streams it won't matter about the signal...you will be able to listen online. I think the format could work well in St. Augustine alone because of the diverse population and the cultural scene there. It is something I think I would listen to if I was still living there to be honest other than listening to Magic 107.3
