THE STATION IS STILL SOUNDING GREAT.
BUT, I do have to say one thing about the Saturday Night Dance Party and Friday Night Live Mixes. I do like the fact they are giving the dance sound attention (despite the fact there are no established / pure dance artists sprinkled in). However, I do notice most of the mixshow material being used sounds very Rhythmic AC like. It would be great for some of the current electro-hip hop and house (that is trending on the big rhythmics and rhythmic top 40 station MIX SHOWS nationwide) to be heard in Groove mixshows as well, rather than "It's not right, but it's ok" remixes by Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez "give me just one night", or "crazy" remixes by Gnarls Barkley.
When I say electro hip hop, I'm talking about those electro remixes of rhythmic hip hop and urban pop heard on most rhythmic (and even top 40 chr) mixshows, such as
Work it out - Lil Jon & Pitbull
Favorite Dj - Clinton Sparks & Jermain Dupri
Let the bass kick - Dj Chuckie ft Jermain Dupri
Shots - LMFAO ft LIL JON
Show me love - Steve Angello & Laidback Luke Ft Robin S
I'm in Miami - LMFAO
Alors On Danse RMX - Fransisco / Stromae ft Kanye West & Gilbere Forte
Took the night - Chelley
OMG (Dj CLASS rmx) - Usher
Over (electro remix) - Drake
Put your drinks up - Dj Mad
We no speak Americano - Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP
hey baby - Pitbull ft T-Pain
money to blow (Mike D Bass Mix) - Birdman
Swedish House Mafia ft Pharrell - Your name
Check it out - Nicki Minaj ft Will-I-Am
Dj got us falling in love (Jumpsmokers remix) -Usher & Pitbull
Beautiful Monster - Ne-yo
I go hard - Tino Cochino ft Three 6 Mafia
Feel it - Tiesto ft Three6Mafia, Flo Rida
And anything similar that I may have left out.
Not only is this more hype in a rhythmic radio mixshow than Fugees "killing me softly" or Gnarls Barkley and Whintey Houston remixes, but out of all places these songs are played during rhythmic radio & club broadcast mixshows, you cannot deny that this type of dance sound would be right up the alley for an Atlanta Party Station! rhythmic. I'm not sure how many younger folks who are being targeted by the main playlist are loving the 90's Whitney Houston, Fugees, J-Lo dance remixes and thinking "this is cool!".

Once again, I repeat - I'm suggesting for SOME mixshow play. Not for the entire station or even the entire set of every mixshow to completely be converted to the current, popular electro-hip hop and house sound. Just some of it thrown in here and there from time to time. Lastly, it would also be nice to have more hyped up mixing styles on Atlanta's Party Station.
