105.7 Crush FM - "The Biggest Hits of the 90's" Taking the WPTR Style Vibe

I have been listening to Crush FM ovet the last few days the New Voiceover guy is hilarious reminds me of jeff foxworthy. Who would of known that Crush FM would try and Compete with WPTR. I would like to know who the voiceover is now for Crush.

Terry used to work for an Oldies Station WTRY Clear Channel , I have no doubt when he adds jocks he will add John Gabriels for the Mornings

what you think ?

Re: 105.7 Crush FM - "The Biggest Hits of the 90's" Taking the WPTR Style Vibe

Would that also mean that 105.7 would become oldies too since they are using wptr's slogans?

No what they have been saying is it will stay 90's format they won't change it but they have copied some of WPTR's Ideas of approach.

Re: 105.7 Crush FM - "The Biggest Hits of the 90's" Taking the WPTR Style Vibe

Maybe they hired John Gabrial to go after WTRY with their stronger signal?

Re: 105.7 Crush FM - "The Biggest Hits of the 90's" Taking the WPTR Style Vibe

The only way for 105.7 to after WTRY would be to go oldies from the 50's, 60's & 70's live and local unlike WTRY and WPTR. 105.7's signal is great and solid in the area for an oldies format unlike 96.7. In wptr's own listening area here in albany they sound like an out of town channel especially when walking and on a city bus which shouldn't be since 96.7 is supposed to be competing with 98.3

I agree oldiesmike if Crush became an oldies station it would blow WTRY & WPTR out of the water, but chances of Crush doing that is less likely there sticking with the 90's format.
