106.1 WXSH Sold, The Vault Moving to WICO 102.9/1320

106.1 WXSH will be sold to Bay Broadcasting, who recently sold WBEY 97.9 to GSB Media. I'm leaning "Bay Country" moves to 106.1 with the relatively weaker signal? No idea what GSB Media plans for 97.9, they also own "Wow Country" and adult hits WCTG.

WICO 1320 and it's translator on 102.9 will flip to "The Vault" covering Salisbury, they had been a simulcast of "La Raza" WJWL 900 and it's Georgetown translator at 100.3.

The Vault was poorly done since the beginning and I guess Andrade got a nice chunk of change for the signal. I don't blame him.

Noticed the new format on 106.1...Extra 106.1 Delmarva's Greatest Hits of All Time. It sound horrible with the dead air in between songs and the one voice guy who sounds like a redneck. I rather listen to Jack or CTG.

No website or stream yet, but a FB page https://www.facebook.com/xtra106.1fm/

I think classic hits is a different enough animal from adult hits (Jack and CTG). Xtra's "competition" would be Wave 97.1 to the north.

They are what Cool 101.3 was. Cool is playing more Classic Rock. 94.9 Jack-FM is no longer. It is Now 94.9 KHI Delmarva's Classic Hits. We all know how Vince Klepac likes to flip formats every month or so. I cant believe he stuck with it this long. Also, I know Vince and Mike Powell (owner of 106.1), are friends, so I see their two stations going after CTG, with these two formats.

Ha had no idea 94.9 had flipped. Maybe if 94.9/106.1 simulcasted the stations may have a chance. Spring isn’t too far away, we’ll see what the stations are programming then :)
