It's very quiet about the 106.3 translator 'gate'. Any news about it or is the whole new station from Clear Channel canceled?

Wed. 5/25/11 Cool Oldies
Thu. 5/26/11 Slow Jams
Fri. 5/27/11 Real Oldies
Sat. 5/28/11 Classic Lite
Sun. 5/29/11 Big Classic Hits
Mon. 5/30/11 Country Road

It was great to hear Charlie Burger over the holiday weekend on Thunder, I called him to make sure it's the same one and to my excitement it is !!!! ::) The legend is back and this time on my favorite radio station. ME sooooooo HAPPPY !!!! :D

seems to be dead in the water although who really knows whether they're still discussing options with WKMK.
I did think that the F.C.C. granted the license mid May.
WLTW HD 2 still mentions the translator but no start date.
Personally I'd like to see NYC get a new radio station so I'm watching and waiting.

It's a pitty. This was the change to bring back Smoot Jazz or Smooth AC back in NYC again.

Blame CC for picking the 106.3 frequency. Dumb move on their part considering there are already 2 other stations on 106.3 that reach into different parts of NYC (WKMK and WFAF).

It has nothing to do with CC!!!!! They don't own the translator!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares who owns the translator...CC is paying to use it and now they are the ones getting screwed because it was shut down.

haha Clear Channel got screwed. Maybe they shouldn't have used that loophole to simulcast an HD2 on a translator. And Clear Channel is trying to shut down an HD2 translator in Detroit.
