now that i think about it, having the Yankees games on the Bone isnt a bad idea. it may help them out by having more people listening to the station. think about it, the bone has a lot of fans in the valley, some are yankees fans, some are not. the ones who are not might tune out for awhile, but they will be back after the game. the word of having yankees games on the radio will spread, which will have new listeners listening to the station, and some of them are bound to think ZZO sucks and like the Bones music better, therefore making them full time listeners of the station. just my thought on the reason why they decided to air Yankees games. i was a little pissed at first, but its really not a big deal.

i dont think it will hurt the bone in the ratings, it may actually help. if the bone ever gets a signal upgrade, ZZO is toast.

Yankees games or not, 107.1 is still the greatest source of Rock in the Lehigh Valley, and it is in the Top 10 stations in the Lehigh Valley in the Ratings.

Good idea or bad, that's not the point.

The issue is that The Bone has thrown in the towel on trying to compete with WZZO. The radio equivalent to sweat pants...they have given up.

The Bone tried and failed to topple WZZO, and the fact that they need any revenue that can be derived from running baseball games is testament to that.

Baseball on radio is about as compelling as watching paint dry. However, if The Bone can put some bucks in the bank by doing it, I'm all for it.

For The Bone, the bottom line is that trying to be a rock station for the valley hasn't really worked out.

Way to go, Tori! You got 'em on the ropes, now finish them off. Probably be pretty easy to do when a listener tunes in to hear Zep and gets distracted by several hundred hours of the droning drudgery of baseball.

People don't go to the bone for zep, they go there for NEW rock, which tori wouldn't know a real rock song if it came up and bit her.

The bone having baseball is no different than zzo having NASCAR

How can some one truely say zzo's music is better than the bones. All the bone needs is better signal coverage, if they were on 1071 and 1075, zzo would be toast. As for the people in strong signal areas of 1071, I guarentee 98% will say they prefer the bone.

Seriously, I'm no fan of either baseball or NASCAR, but the broadcast requirements for baseball are just a teensy bit more involved. BB is a major commitment, NASCAR is mostly Sunday afternoon throwaways.

"All the bone needs is better signal coverage..." And all I need is ten million dollars and I'll retire.

The fact is that The Bone tried to compete in the LV with a rimshot signal and a blindingly shallow playlist. Predictably, it failed.

If you don't like WZZO, that's okay. You've already found WMMR. It and WYSP are stations that have something of a clue...well, at least WMMR does...

White wedding isn't new rock, however, it's newer than mostof zzo's music. Seriously, 1 in songs on zzo are new, at least wwyy is about 80% 90's and now. If you like zzo better that the bone, that's cool, it don't make sense, but it's cool.
