Before WLIB in New York took over the frequency in '97, WOWO in Fort Wayne, Indiana was a regular every night here in the Boston area for years. It had regular listeners all over the East coast. It used to be a full Clear Channel 50,000 watter until it was bought by Inner City (WLIB) and powered down to 9800 watts. It just seemed unusual to hear them after so many years last evening.

Upshot is that this may be an additional reason why WOWO seems a bit stronger.
