12 News Changes

Emma Jade returns as co-anchor of Today in AZ starting 1/6. Emily Pritchard is out. Plus, Chtis Dunn will be joining as weekend meteorologist, transitioning from freelance to a permanent position.

Now, they just need a permanent traffic reporter...

By the way, I just saw an ad that 12News Today will be expanding at 7am, on the 12+ app. They didn't say how long the 12+ version would be . It's definitely an interesting experiment to see how much of an audience they will get on the app.

If it takes too many viewers away from The Today Show, I would think NBC might have something to say about it.

Wouldn't be surprised if in other TEGNA-owned markets they're doing this or kicking the tires at doing it considering how much they've propped up recently their utilization of a streaming "+" platform for their stations.

I know that KING (TEGNA) in Seattle has a "+" app. Also, they have a long-running 2 hour extension of KING 5 Mornings on sister station KONG.

@KeithE4, this newscast has been on for year on KONG. If NBC has complained, it has fallen on deaf ears!
