Thanks for sharing! John Young's voice was the second thing I recognized after my parents, having listened to Z-93 at age 3 up.
Amazing how that took me back to when I was a kid hearing that. Wish I could find more airchecks and even hours of Z-93 and other Classic Atlanta radio on tape.

When I was 12, I found a Sony reel to reel in a dumpster outside Jonquil Park in Smyrna, it worked fine, and had a 7" reel of tape threaded on it. On that tape was an hour of WPCH FM 95 with Steve Goss doing "Peach of a City" takes. I wish I could find the tape, I saved it though the machine bit the dust years ago. Peach was a CLASS ACT in those days.

Unbelievable how good that sounds, what a great memory. The station sounds alive, just do not know why this cannot be duplicated today, it is in other markets.
