1st new log of 2018-19 AM season is a TP! 10/5/2018

Not a domestic but an overseas log was #1 for the season.

666 - JOBK Japan, Osaka; poor fighting with splatter and noise at 0648 PT with male talking in Japanese at 0648 PT, // to 594-JOAK Tokyo which was quite strong at the time. JOBK is on the NHK1 network which originates from 594 in Tokyo. NEW #758, 100KW at 5,104 miles!
Very nice TP conditions on other channels. JOIK-567 in Sapporo was also parallel to JOAK. 603 had pop music faintly before fadeout likely KBS Radio 2 (HLSA) which I need. 657 Pyongyang was blowing off 660 with military music. 738 had a nice carrier with Asian music, likely 'BEL2' Taiwan Fisheries, but it got away from me. Nice carrier on 864, the usual NHK-2 blasters were S9, 1044 had something in an Asian language, I know CRI is on this channel. Looking for AK, possibly heard something on 750 under Portland but way too weak. KFQD still needed. Let's hope for more of the same!

When I lived in Alaska, 660 Fairbanks which was nearly 300 miles east of me would be strong enough to splatter 657 Pyongyang. I would often hear the high powered KBS from South Korea on 1170 fighting it out with KJNP, but often times it won out, and well.
