Sunny 104.5 in Philly made the flip today, and WTTH 96.1 flipped last month. Now, there are 2 stations playing Christmas music. It's the first week of November. I remember when stations played all Christmas music only on Christmas Eve and Christmas.<P ID="signature">______________

When I was Program Director of WMGM in the 80s -
we SOLD 15 minute blocks of "Music As Usual"
with NO CHRISTMAS songs at all - and sold out.

Really? And I remember when WABC played the Top 77 songs of 1971 beginning at 12 noon on **Christmas Day**!! That was when life and radio were good!!

Magic 98.3 & 1450 WCTC did that up until last year -- they had 30 hours of all-Christmas music, from 6 PM Dec. 24th to midnight Dec. 25th. However, last year 98.3 switched to all-Christmas in mid-November, while WCTC still kept its simulcast of the Christmas music to the same 30-hour block.

Meanwhile, 1070 WKMB never went all-Christmas during their Stirling Country years; even on Christmas Day, their playlist was about 2/3rds Christmas music and 1/3rd regular music.
