.2 network coming to KHOU Houston and KSAT San Antonio

I guess no one thinks it is a good idea to put big time movies, lifestyle shows and classic TV on an a digital subchannel. It starts in July. I think this is a great idea IMHO.

Hopefully, it will do well enough to eventually land in Dallas/Fort Worth. Since they're also planning to offer an HD 720p feed of the .2 network, I'd like to see that offered as a subchannel on one of the stations that currently only offers SD programming.

If WFAA were to pick it up (owned by Belo as well) it could be in 720p on KFWD.

KFWD isn't owned by Belo, but is effectively run by them through a joint operating agreement. A subtle distinction that matters a great deal to the FCC, since Belo doesn't meet the FCC's rules for being able to own the station due to their ownership of the Dallas Morning News.

I wonder if technically that's true anymore since Belo split their publishing and broadcast properties into two companies.
