30 Rock Makes Joke of Animal Cruelty

Relax, it was just a cat anyway! The hawk was doing a favor for the environment because feral cats decimate local wildlife and are pests. So, it was a happy ending.

And yes, after they shot the scene, the cat went back to his dressing room for some Fancy Feast.

She convinced herself that she WAS GOING to find true love.
At that point, for the cause of future love, for Liz Lemon, who reluctantly resigned herself to being a "cat lady" in the first place, the cat was expendable.

I've only seen 30 Rock a few times, and I could tell that about Liz Lemon. She's not so much "evil cat abandoner" as she is "eternally optimistic about finding love, under the neuroses, somewhere." ;D
