WKRC's Ron Wilson made a shock retirement announcement last Saturday. He's apparently done doing the program since taking over for Denny McKeown in the 2000s.

A new host, Scott Beuerlein, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s manager of botanical garden outreach and columnist for Horticulture Magazine, begins his tenure as captain of the garden show before Gary Sullivan's home improvement program this Saturday (February 28th, 2026).

Anyone have any positive memories with the Yard Boy? I always loved his show when I was able to catch it.

I believe his show was syndicated around the country. I remember hearing his show on Cleveland's WTAM about 20 years ago, and more recently on a station in Colorado -- before a "local" garden center owner created (aka "paid for") his own show.
