700kHz on PL-398BT w/int loopstick near Rancho San Diego, CA - WLW?

Hello DXers,

I was checking several AM frequencies a few nights ago, and found 700 was open. I think KALL, my normal received station, was on, but with an unmodulated carrier. Lo and behold, I heard another English talk-type station underneath. I happened to have my camera recording, so last night I trimmed the 700 kHz portion and uploaded it.

I don't recall hearing "WLW" or "Cincinnati" on the radio, but I think the voices may have matched the stream that I had playing in part of the video (using my Android phone).

Did I for sure have WLW?

You might have. Conditions were great last night. 1450 KMMS-MT was the big highlight with a nice top of hour ID into ABC News. That's almost 550 miles through all the other 1450s in that direction! (KCLX, KBFI, KGRZ etc) Also KXEL 1540, XERF 1570, CJYM 1330 huge...

I live in Cincinnati.

I'm sorry, but what I did hear was barely above the threshold, and I couldn't make out anything familiar.

Jim Scott is on at 5:37 AM (our time), and his morning drive-time show is normally all-talk, no politics; more a magazine of the air with live and prerecorded interviews.

I haven't checked their format, but it also might have been the station in Tomball (Houston), Texas, although they do not throw much of their 1 KW night signal your way.

WLW, "The Nation's Station", would be a great catch!
 
I've heard KSEV makes it to a few neighboring states like OK, KS, AR but I don't know about Southern California, under KALL.
Are you sure it was English talk? If it's not, then 700 might be Mexico or KMBX Soledad CA on 700W. I've heard them one time here, real weak.

Has to be WLW.

In the late 70s when I stayed with my brother during the summer in Northern California (Vacaville), WLW was a regular with a listenable signal most of the time.
