Steve Conti's 89.3 WICE Pirate Station has been silenced, finally, by the activiation of 89.3 WUMD! I expected him to turn off anyways, as his friend is an engineer for UMass Dartmouth and WUMD!From www.fybush.comThere's a new address for the radio station at UMass/Dartmouth, too: on Saturday morning, WSMU (91.1) signed on its new, more-powerful signal, WUMD (89.3) on Saturday morning - and after a brief simulcast period, the WSMU programming (a variety of student and community shows) will move permanently to WUMD.WSMU will then change hands, becoming the Bay State's newest outlet for the fast-growing "K-Love" religious network based in California.**************************Editors Note: I wonder where Conti will re-appear at on the radio dial?****The opinions expressed in this post are solely that of Paul B. Walker, Jr and not those of his station or employer.****

I'm sure that "K-Love " is going to not only bring a badly needed format to SE NE, but kill in the ratings. Can you sense my venom?WUMD of course, benefits wih this better signal

FRom what I understand. The operator has called it quits and has retired ICE-FM.The operator says that he or she had fun while it lasted and will miss doing it.

kenny.. you don't need to say "operator".. we all know it was run by Steve Conti.
