90.9 Top 40 Hitclock. I tuned in every Wednesday night inside Leisure World in Seal Beach, CA

I work in Leisure World every Wednesday night and am tuned in to the station 90.9 Top 40 Hitclock. There is no DJ or commercials. It is all music with an AI voice telling you the year the song about to be played is from. No mention of song titles.

If that isn't a Part 15 micro-powered station, it's not legal. No licensed stations on 90.9 anywhere near Seal Beach.

I live at LW and yes the station does exist. I posted about it a few years ago and nobody here knew anything about it. Regarding the signal, the station begins to fade on the 405 north around Bellflower Bl. By the time you get to Lakewood the signal is nonexistent. Southbound the signal starts to fade at the 405/22 interchange.

That sounds a little too strong to be Part 15.

The station can be heard on the campus of Cal State Long Beach. The signal is mediocre. As one travels east on 7th St. toward the OC line the signal improves. It is loud and strong at Westminster/SBB and all through LW. The RDS in my car displays "Hitclock" as well as the artist, title, and year of the song.

Unless the people in what used to be the Boeing complex are running a station, it definitely is a Leisure World signal. If I was still there I would give my RACES group the challenge of tracking it down :)

Come on. Does every thread have to turn into a mild insult toward Saul's station?
Not to pick on Saul, but it illustrates how little excitement there is for radio stations in general anymore.

Posts here focus on low rated AMs and LPFMs. I could have easily picked on KFRN or KALI for that matter, but they haven’t come up yet.

It’s interesting.

Actually, I have respect for Saul sticking it out so long as local broadcaster. He clearly loves radio.
