92.3 AMP is no longer WNOW, flipped to WBMP-FM.

WNOW-FM calls move to 100.9 Radio Now in Indy. 92.3 AMP Radio is now WBMP-FM, presumably because WAMP-FM is already registered to a non comm in TN. It's pretty similar to 92.9 WBPM Kingston NY in physical location, dial position, and lettering ironically. All of this matters next to 0 for anyone outside the radio circle as usual.

Man... that ID is so... uninspiring. What happened to the days of getting everyone amped up (HA!) and launching into a huge uptempo track that screams "THIS IS WHAT WE'RE ABOUT!" to the world? I weep for the state of the industry.

That's sort of a weird call letters WBMP, as in "Bump". They should've put the call letters WAMP, because it is not available at this time. If you look at the call letters, there's WBPM where they used the calls since it's assigned to the Hudson Valley. The WBPM calls started at when it was originally 94.3 in 1975 when it was originally WGHQ-FM. By the 1980's it went to a. Very successful Top 40/CHR format remember "B94", that was a great station, and then it made some changes at around 1999 when it flipped to "Jammin' Oldies" as "Rhythm 94.3" and then it went to oldies in November 2001 as "Cool 94.3" which is now a country station known as "The Wolf", originally it was "Kicks 94.3" since 2003. The WBPM calls moved in 2004 when it was oldies "Cool 92.9" until 2007 which is now a classic hits station.
