92.3 Now NYC - Finally Starting To Get The Music Mix Right

When this station first debuted they claimed to be all about current hit music yet their entire library was only about 60 songs deep. Worst yet, they knocked Z-100 for being an old CHR playing 10 year old songs yet at the same time WXRK could be heard playing super old titles like the Beastie Boys "Fight For Your Right" and Tone Loc records.
Now it looks like the music mix has been more customized to reflect regional and New York flavored hits rather than just use records that test well in Detroit and Des Moines. 92.3 Now is playing great older titles like Tanto Metro & Devonte "Everyone Falls In Love". They're also big supporters of Gyptian's "Hold Ya", a smash over on NYC's Hip Hop stations (Hot 97 and Power 105) as well as on Florida's Rhythmic outlets (Power 96 Miami, Wild 94.1 Tampa, Power 95.3 Orlando). They're not afraid to play Eminem's "Not Afraid" while at the same time play some Pop/Rock titles like One Republic's "All The Right Moves", which was a hit on rival Z-100. Both Z and Nowcan be heard playing new songs like Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin In Love" and Nicky Minaj's "Your Love" within minutes of each other.
While Z-100 continues to be an amazing well-balanced CHR/Pop station customized for New York, 92.3 Now is showing signs of improvement with its Rhythmic leaning flavor of CHR/Pop.

eh, they are still not up to listening speed for me, but hopefully in time they will be... they still have a VERY small playlist and don't sound all that different from Z100 aside from one or two songs.. big deal!! NOW needs a major revamp...
