92.9 FM in Brier Creek area of Raleigh

There's a stereo signal on 92.9 FM around northwestern Raleigh's Brier Creek community. It's not super strong, but does seem to carry two or three miles. Haven't heard any identification or other talking, though the music seems a mix of Carribean and French-language dance music. Checked the FCC database...there are several applications for 92.9 translators around the area but nothing to the point of testing or a license to cover.
 
There was a dance music station on 92.9 a few years back. It was strongest driving through Knightdale. It had a monster signal for a pirate around here, I heard it out by Crabtree Valley and up to Youngsville a couple times, very faint. They seemed to only be on on nights and weekends, playing what sounded like a satellite/internet feed called "The Dance Station" or something like that. They seemed to play mostly American/Caribbean dance music.
 
The 92.9 is a pirate station, located near downtown Raleigh (NCSU). They have been warned once and I understand the FCC will be in town next week with an FIM and yagi to address the situation. I think the Commission will make an example of this pirate! He will probably do some jail time and receive a $20,000 fine.. Also, he will not be able to apply for an LPFM when that window opens in 2010.

Disappointing. It's the only unique thing in town worth checking out on the local radio.

This reminds me of the movie "Pump Up the Volume". I saw that for the first time over the weekend.
