93.3 JAKE FM is on the air with new country

Well like I mentioned before, Folger has PDed here at KJ, but that was over 20 years ago. Come to think of it, I think one of his consultation shingles was doing the "real" nationwide Bob format, which unlike our Bob was more Jackish. So the Tylers may have gotten to know him when they were courting what to put on the 97.3 stick originally. But indeed, i predict they'll bail on Jake around the same time Ferris runs out of money. Not to slam on Ferris or anything, we all have our pipe dreams, and they're satisfying while they last; but to coin a term from Simon Cowell, if he'd be less-indulgent in his song choices, he could have a version of Alternative which would attract enough audience to attract enough advertisers to keep him in his perch until he's ready to start collecting Social Security. And back to the Tylers for a moment, being the holders of the vast and extensive KEBC library, I suppose it's hard to not want to utilize that...in lieu of putting together a new library for a differing format at a cost. But I definitely volunteer my automation computer, filled currently with 7251 songs, more than enough to have your selection of formats!

I don't know much about Foldger, but from what I understand he's already back out of town, and in Minnesota. Would would have to ask why if it has been proven that Kevin couldn't program a station to beat a clear channel station, and the Tylers were forced to hire a consultant, How Kevin would still be allowed to keep his job. But apparently there are some very bad decisions being made over there if they really thought "TIM FM" was a good idea in Oklahoma City.. Wow.
