95.3 Dayton Comming in with little to no static in Delhi

It's comming in almost as clear as Fly (some static but very little). I usally dont get it this well comming in. I usally can't get it in at all . Did they increase thier signal or change the position on the antenna recently? They have been comming in this clear for a few days now.

I would agree with Gr8t here...

Eagle has made no changes to transmitter, tower, or power. Other than an occasional tweak of processing, that's about all we've done. So, probably, it was atmospherically related.

Still getting it really clear today still with static depends on the location of my anttena. If you pay attention to the music you barelly hear the static. Sounds almost like a local station. if i play with my atenna i can block the eagle and get a country station sounding like a local from Indy on 95.3 also that depends on antenna loation too.

iIam not kidding thier is a country station on 95.3 it may be from ketucky then but thier is one on 95.3. when i turn my antena the right way.

You can get FM skip often during this time of year. I'm not familiar with the meteorology, but when you have October or November days that are overcast all day long, that's a good time to check the FM dial. This may also tend to happen in early spring. I've gotten WHIO-FM repeatedly this way in the last year or so using my cheap Kenwood car radio, and in the past the NPR station in Richmond, KY (WEKU?), and WMEE, Ft. Wayne, among others.

"Skip" goes about 750 miles to about 1250 miles. "Ducting" goes about 80 to 150 miles. What Rob experienced was neither. It was just a "slightly good day" in the one direction or a "slightly bad day" in the other.

Rob, all these things you post on here are not rare and are not a big deal. I suppose you're free to post them, but they're not really remarkable.

From what I understand about it, the exact opposite is true. It's around the solstices you want to be looking for skip and ducting, not the equinoxes.
