Now, if WGST had an FM simul on 105.3 you'd get it clear as a bell in Tallapoosa. Just sayin'.secondchoice said:HRG is most likely correct. Tropo scatter / ducting along the Gulf Coast will happen most often during extreme fog. We haven’t had a lot of fog but with all the rain lately we have the Gulf coast style humidity and a cold front. WSBB FM is a class C1 with 72.3 KM distance to Protected or Primary Service Contour” per the FCC web site. WSBB’s tower is 86 miles from Tallapoosa. I would be surprised if you could get WSBB in Haralson County at any time.
WSSL and WNNX have not been playing nicely in Gwinnett for the past few weeks.secondchoice said:HRG is most likely correct. From what I understand Susquehanna tried to work out a deal with the pre-CC owner of WSSL to move away from ATL or reduce power, so they could up the power/coverage of 100.5. That negotiation bit the dust when CC bought WSSL.the golden boy said:WSSL and WNNX never play nice in Gwinnett, especially in the morning. IIRC, Clear Channel did or tried to make SSL's signal stronger over a decade ago.

I don't know all the moves of WSSL, but they seem (IIRC) to have moved more towards Greenville/Laurens and away from Spartanburg where (again, IIRC) they were originally located. I think this involved a downgrade from a full class C to a C0.
