KJR flips

Just reading on a whim, but have to chime in: KJR-FM has flipped formats on average every 18 months since 1998.

It does seem to walk the same path a lot, as if the new regime has no idea what has come (and what has not worked) before.

A troubled station that hasn't been without its share of bright talent. The Bob Rivers Show was probably it's best shot at being a contender.

I agree. However, I think Seattle radio as a whole is worse than many other markets. I never thought I would see the day where there is absolutely nothing that I want to listen to in Seattle other than sports/talk. KZOK is the only exception, I do listen daily.
There was a mention on(I believe)the Los Angeles board about how great Seattle radio was!

Back on topic, has anyone else noticed KJR-FM's Facebook page is still alive and kicking in spite of 95.7 The Jet having a Facebook page of it's own?

Compare:

KJR-FM Facebook page - Over 2,000,000 likes strong

https://www.facebook.com/957kjr

95.7 The Jet - Just over 800 likes

https://www.facebook.com/957thejet

I mean, C'MON! Social media rules everything these days. And they had a good thing going simply as KJR.

Why mess with it?

I think the KJR page is a bit like the CFMI Facebook page, full of likes from people who only like the page because of the comedic pictures/posts.

But someone is still maintaining it. It tells me the KJR "brand" is still perfectly good. Especially when you've worked so hard to make it up to 2,000,000 likes, why ruin it? Do they not see the value in that?
