I am listening to WEBG on line and it looks like the station is now running Fox Sports Radio as a simulcast of 1330 WFNN Erie "The Fan." I was looking for the all podcast feed.
The iHeartRadio webpage for WEBG and the station's website still list it as running all iHeart podcasts. But I guess the format switched without anyone changing these sites.
WEBG is odd for several reasons. It says it serves the Erie, PA radio market. But Mina is just west of the New York - Pennsylvania border so it really doesn't hit downtown Erie. Mina is a community of a little over 1,000 people. And there's a low power station on the same frequency, 95.9 in Erie, which would stop anyone from hearing WEBG within Erie. It's run from iHeart's Erie cluster. The only thing near city of license Mina is the transmitter, located in South Ripley, NY.
Last year, iHeart was running all podcasts on three stations, WEBG, 1470 WSAN Allentown PA and 1350 KABQ Albuquerque. WSAN switched to Oldies last year. KABQ went to all Christmas music in November, then to Fox Sports after the holidays. So with WEBG also flipping to Fox Sports, iHeart's experiment with putting all podcasts on several of its stations has apparently ended.
