97.3 WJFD New Bedford heard over 3000 mi away in IRELAND!!

Saw this post over on the NJ Board - Apparently a DXer in Ireland caught 97.3 WJFD in New Bedford as well as 97.3 WENJ Atlantic City...over 3000 miles from their respective locations...view it here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-A0CxMhD9k

Talk about an amazing DX catch...Has anyone ever gotten Europe stations here in MA?

I live in Lowell and on some Summer days they come in like a local! Even with WOKQ right next door!

WJFD, along with WCTK (98.1, New Bedford), WGBH (89.7), Boston, and, of course, WHOM (94.9), Mt. Washington, NH, are, IMHO, the most powerful stations in New England, regardless of their actual ERPs. The generally flat terrain of the south of Boston area helps the three Massachusetts stations as well.

Before 107.3 WAAF moved to the new site a few years ago, from the old Paxton site they were easily receivable in all 6 New England states. I would have put the old signal with that list as well. Now, their signal at the new site is much more marginal. Whoever thought it was a good idea to move it was not in the know at all!
