98.1 KISQ San Francisco dog fight with 98.1 KUBA Yuba City

The past couple of weeks or so, there has been an unusual amount of co-channel interference from Yuba City's 155-watt LPFM on 98.1 in various parts of Placerville. Has there been a minor modification or is it simply conditions? KISQ used to come in fairly constant in stereo. Now the signal is heavily trashed. I will say that 155-watts carries nicely from that distance and terrain in these parts!

The 98.1 in Yuba City is a FM translator not a LPFM. It is licensed to Results Radio of Chico under K251CE at Sutter Buttes. The FCC shows this re-broadcasting KUBA-AM, Yuba City.

Had no opportunity to research that. Just an observation made from various parts of a region while traveling about. In my comment, replace LPFM with FM translator.

It looks like the signal is very directional with a large null to the west (towards SF). The translator appears to be at the same elevation as KKCY (103.1) with the exception of the large null to the west. Fantastic translator, full Class A for the most part.
