Then that is actually a good thing for 105.5. That is what listeners tend to say when a music station is playing the hits frequently enough for them to be recognizable. We had the same complaint at Island 106 in '99. Obviously a CHR will have a tighter rotation than a Country station. But our Hots were rotating 90 times a week and we were #1 (12+) and (25-54). unless 98.1 gives them a reason to leave...the 105.5 core audience won't go anywhere for long
I've talked to several people who listen to 105.5 and they said they were tired of the repetitive nature of their play list. So there is an opening. The problem is no one i talked to even new Highway 98.1 existed.
