98.7 AMP RADIO got low ratings - Come on everybody please help this station!

I could not believe my eyes when I looked at the MARCH 2012 ratings that WDZH FM 98.7 AMP Radio got a 2.8 in ratings.

Come on everybody and please support Detroit's only mainstream contemporary hits radio station (CHR RADIO).

I would like for everyone who reads this who loves CHR radio to please make the switch from Channel 955 {Crappy 955} to the new 98.7 AMP Radio.

Dont listen to CRAPPY 955 at 95.5 FM here in Detroit. CHANNEL 955 at 95.5 FM plays to much old music.

Ratings go up and down nothing new. CBS doesnt care about ratings all about that billing. The CHR format is ranking higher than the Smooth Jazz format did.

While it's true that 95.5 has begun to try to copy 96.3's pull 90's and early 2000's hits logic, 98.7 just beats hits into the ground, and plays stuff that most people don't want to listen to. also, to me, the station sounds like it broadcasts in mono. 95.5 speeds their music up, but at least it sounds in stereo. 98.7 had their chance to capitalize on passing 95.5 as recently as november 2011, and it seems to me that that's where they started to decline. also, one more thing: we have two hip-hop stations in Detroit. there's no need for 98.7 to hop all over every single rap song. besides, by the time they play it, you just want the song to go away.

I don't like CHANNEL 955 aka 95.5 WKQI FM because CHANNEL 955 caused 93.1 DRQ DETROIT'S #1 HIT MUSIC STATION to go off the air back in 2005 and change to Variety Hits format now as 93.1 DOUG FM, so that's why I want 98.7 AMP RADIO to win and possibly beat CHANNEL 955 in ratings.

Haha! I love 955, I refuse to listen to 987. I hate all their DJ's ON 987. When 987s ratings hit rock bottom these past two months you couldn't believe how happy I was to see that.

But my number one station will always be Hot 1075, 955 is just my goto station for when 1075 is on a commercial. You should check them out, 1075 plays the best rap. And Shorty Da Prince is my favorite DJ here in Detroit. He hypes the radio, and nothing beats the mixshows they have.

I believe another reason why ABC/Citadel blew up DRQ and put Doug on was to block a CBS station from flipping to Jack (such as V98.7 or WOMC) back in 2005 :) Sure, Channel 955 might have been a part of their demise, but I think another reason was to block CBS from putting a Jack in Detroit...

CHANNEL 955 aka 95.5 WKQI's programming sucks in my opinion compared to 98.7 AMP RADIO. CHANNEL 955 play's old songs that came out when I was in high school, and I am almost 25 years old.

That's just more variety. I can hear the same currents on Amp as I do on Channel, just Amp spins them much more often (or at least they do when I have them on).

The ratings for Amp might pick up when Perez Hilton begins his show on WDVD.

V 98.7 is still available on 98.7 WDZH FM DETROIT HD-2 Channel.

You have to have an HD radio in order to hear V 98.7 now on 98.7 HD-2.

I do indeed listen to V98.7 HD2, and it does sound great. However I have to listen online, because it is very difficult to get 98.7 in HD where I live. I don't have the money to invest in HD or Internet radio for my car right now or in a better HD receiver (though I would like to one day) so it would be nice to have a smooth jazz option I can actually hear in my car. (1200 WCHB has a poor after-dark signal where I live and I can't get 99.9 FM or 105.9 HD2 at all.)

You have mentioned wanting a classic hip-hop station. You probably know that a classic hip-hop station is already available on WJLB HD2. Unfortunately though, they don't stream, and I think it's a pre-packaged format from iHeartRadio (WGCI-HD2 in Chicago airs the same thing).

Part of my refusal to listen to AMP Radio, by the way, is because I simply am not a CHR listener, not only because it replaced V98.7. I don't listen to 95.5 either. With regard to 98.7, it's just hard for me to stomach hearing garbage (in my opinion) like LMFAO on the frequency where I used to hear class acts like Sade, Anita Baker and Luther Vandross.
