990 WXCT Simulcast of WWPR-FM in New York

I was just out driving and listening around the dial and I came across WXCT in Southington simulcasting WWPR, Power 105.1 out of NY. The are carrying everything including the commercials.

Has this been going on for awhile? Why would they do this?

That's interesting that you post this. A friend called me this morning to tell me that too...but when I got the message, our automation was somehow back on track. I don't know what happened, and it's an odd occurance. I will be going over my system with a fine tooth comb to see what happened.

Interesting that this happened. Does something else that WXCT carries off the bird come on the same or similar channel that WWPR came over? Maybe something got switched to the wrong channel??

I'm thinking the network fed us the wrong channel/program. I don't know if I will ever know for sure, but I will attempt to find out tomorrow. It's really the only logical conclusion, unless my automation skipped a command or switched to the wrong channel on its own. I have noticed on my own show the system skipping over a command. So that is also a possibility, because no automation/computer programming changes have been made in months. I will also play close attention NEXT Saturday (as a few of you will too, I'm sure)...

We have the '95 Wire Ready. It's been running without major incident for the last 4 years! We've rebooted a few times, but mainly because of power bumps here in Southington. Its quite a reliable DOS program. But maybe it needs some servicing.
