Yours truly posted that to YouTube a few years ago, yours truly's YouTube account got terminated, and the fine folks at the AVTB account have allowed me to reupload many of my commercial breaks and newscasts in tandem with their compilations of old TV and film logos.
This came from the collection of TV and AM DXer Mike Cherry on Vancouver Island, and this originally was recorded by Tom Bryant himself, then one of the heads of the WTFDA (Worldwide TV-FM DX Association) and Chief Engineer for WSMV. The same tape also had footage from the 1990 WTFDA Convention + a WSMV 40th Anniversary special featuring Ralph Emery, Pat Sajak, and other personalities.
It really is an excellent find and a piece of TV history. In Nashville, only channels 3 and 6 were unoccupied for E-skip DX, with locals on 2/4/5. But here in central WA, no VHF channel was occupied except for channel 2 in the '00s when an LPTV went on with Univision, then KKFQ, now KUNW on DT 30.
