A Chinese morning - two NEW from across the Pacific! 10/29/21

Exactly three years after that incredible period of AM DX where I got new logs from Taiwan, China, Colombia, and Alaska, good conditions across the Pacific have returned, albeit briefly before that CME gets to us. Two new stations from China this morning!

1089 - CNR 6, Fuzhou, Fujian, China; heard in LSB to avoid interference with KFNQ and XEPRS on 1090; soft pop song with male Chinese singer at 0720 PT 10/29, was able to // to 6.165khz shortwave relay. NEW #809, 600 KW at 6,170 miles! This is now my 2nd-farthest AM catch ever! The farthest AM I've ever heard was during the aforementioned late October 2018 extravaganza of hot TP conditions, the Taiwan Fisheries station on 738.

981 - CNR 1, Changchun, Jilin, China; Chinese news and discussion // 6175 kHz relay. Used USB to avoid CKNW-980 interference. NEW #810, 200 KW at 4,993 miles.

I got a good recording of the second station and will be sharing that soon. Also noted the NHK2 blasters doing well, especially JOBB 828 in Osaka; and HLAZ 1566 in with religious programming. Had a faint mumble on 918 that may have been Shandong, China.

These were both logged on a local SDR in Kittitas (noise level at home/CWU is way too strong for any usable DX outside of big 50KW blasters and locals). The SDR uses a Wellbrook ALA-1530 loop, omnidirectional I believe.
