A Couple of Cincinnati Radio Where are they now? Questions

The first person I am wondering about is Matt Rees (Reis?).

He was primarily with the news department at WLW (early 1990's), but he also filled-in as a part-time talk show host.

He was the only (self-professed) "liberal" host at the station during this time.

He also hosted a saturday morning show called the "Backyard Barbeque."

Is Matt still in the radio business?

The last I heard of him, he had left WLW and moved to Chicago, due to his wife receiving a transfer to there with her employment.

The other person is am wondering about was a frequest caller to Bill Cunningham's and Mike McConnell's shows, who was known as the "Prince of Labor."

I believe his real name was: Charles Kennedy, a retired steel-worker.

He used to tell the most off-beat stories and share rather strange opinions. He called WLW almost daily. Sometimes he would sing on the air.

I haven't heard him on WLW for a long time.

Is he still with us?

The Backyard BBQ. Interesting radio with Matt Reis and David Wecker. That would make much better programming than hearing DP. (You know, DP has a totally different meaning, however, I bet it's the same at DeathStar 8044!)

Didn't Sensible Don and Prince of Labor and Kabaka Aba all have shining moments during the Q?

Side note...does anyone know if Reis' Elder video company is still in existence?

I just thought of another name from the past.

Whatever happened to frequent WLW caller of the 1990s-2000s "Wacky Joe?"

He was a guy that lived at the old Denison Hotel in downtown Cinci.

He would call the station from a phone booth near the hotel.

He was frequently "inebriated" when he called.

McConnell and the other hosts would play a bed of "carnival/circus-type" music, while Wacky Joe talked.

An update:

I emailed McConnell during his Thursday show about the whereabouts of the Prince of Labor and Wacky Joe.

He replied that he has no idea what became of either of them.

Yes, I remember hearing the Prince of Labor back in the good old days when Willie first started on WLW in 1983. Does anyone remember a guy that called Willie in the early to mid 1980's, "Lou from Missouri", that guy had some very strange opinions. I remember the time that Willie had on the Prince and Kenny from Norwood, that was a true classic.

Anyone know whatever happened to Andy MacWilliams? Didn't he leave radio due to his health?
BTW, does anyone remember when Cunningham took over as PD of WLW and "fired" everyone back in June 1998? Real or stunt?

Andy MacWilliams is still in Cincinnati. He can be seen at many of the Xavier University home basketball games at the Cintas Center.

You will find that most of the things Bill Cunningham says are stunts. Call it "Put-on Radio".

Nice to see someone bring-up the name of "Kenny from Norwood."

I believe he was a truck driver for JB Hunt.

I wonder whatever became of Kenny.

I've got another forgotten WLW used-to-be-frequent caller: "Jeff from Northside."

He was a big conspiracy-theory buff - in the "Art Bell mode."

I haven't heard him on WLW for years. I would have thought that post-9/11, he would have started calling again, as the "9/11 was an inside job / 9/11 Truthers" conspiracy-theory stuff was right up his alley.

Last I had heard of him, he had opened a classic vinyl/used record store in the Cincinnati area.

Andy MacWilliams is a stock broker for Smith Barney downtown.

What about "Raymond" who used to call Furman all the time?
