A dance song "secretly" chatching on at Rhythmics, even Blazing Hip Hop ones!

Ying Yang Twinz/Pitbull's Shake. This song has Booty Bass, Electro, House, and all kinds of vibe in one package!

What do you guys think of this one? Ok, might not be "pure dance" but still, it brings me back to those deep house days when KPWR out here would play Devone, Artie the One Man Party, Armad Van Helden, etc etc.<P ID="signature">______________

"Shake" samples the George Kranz classic "Din Daa Daa". It's definitely a fun record.

Then again, alot of what I call Hip-Pop produced by Lil' Jon, Timbaland, and Missy has been Dance in feel. It's a great way for the artists to stay fresh in my opinion! Look at what the public thinks, MTV just gave Missy a "MoonMan" for BEST DANCE VIDEO for "Outta Control."<P ID="signature">______________

And finally I can agree That Outta Control, was an acceptable nomination for a Dance video.

It would sound out of place on a dance station. But Ying Yang Twinz could put the sound of a turd fallout out of someone's backside and radio would play it. Hasn't stopped them yet.

All we can hope for is that someone get's the "din da da" vibe - hears it on a dance station and makes it thru the next song. One listener at a time.

that's probably because when the MTV crowd hears the phrase "dance" they think of what THEY dance to, which is hip hop and r&B. as per midwestclubber's posting elsewhere about the hip hop dance clubs being packed, and the conventional "dance" nights being a disaster.
