A hasty judgement of Q106 this very moment

I was looking at the Q's site, and noticed a familiar name and wondered if it was a guy I knew back when I was growing up there. Well, I waited for a while, but when at last I was able to hear him, I had to wonder where the personality was.

Let's set this up, there was the :50 break which the Q traditionally took about 5 mins. early. Then a kick-ass Def Leppard tune. Then a liner or something, then a song I didn't care for so much. Finally, the jock. Man it was lightning fast! But we were VERY careful to get the station slogan in not once but TWICE! He sounded very polished (as well he should with all the takes he can make to get it right), but it so sounded like "read and get the hell out of the way". It actually makes me wish for the days of Scott Antonivich. (I like the guy personally, but back at that time he was a new guy on the air and well, could use some polish then.) But at least he sounded like he was trying to convey a piece of himSELF into what he was saying.

Oh well. Just thought I'd submit my two bits and wondered if others agreed. :-\

A hasty judgement of Q106 this very moment part II

Just tuned back in, and found out why it didn't sound like the guy I knew. The jock on the air is "Joe Bierten" or something like that. However, the site lists "Gregg Parrotto".

Go figure. :(
