A Legal ID poking fun at the fact they're required!

Some stations bury the TOH ID in a music bed, noticed that on "KGY" 95.3 Olympia a few years back (K237FR). The ID itself was also sped up so the average listener couldn't hear it well. Much like many car dealer commercials for the terms/conditions ("200dollarsdownand2995dueatsigningincludestaxandlicensefeesseedealerfordetails...")

Best one I’ve heard came from 1990’s era 101.5 Lite FM in Miami. Much like the Buffalo ID mentioned above they’d go into the weather forecast and mention “currently 81 at WLYF Miami, 84 in Pembroke Pines, and 82 in Boca Raton. I’m (insert jock’s name), thanks for turning on the Lite”

One that works really well, but works better if your COL is at one "end" of your listening area is: "KRXY Shelton to Olympia to Tacoma." I does a really decent job of actually describing the listening area, keeping it legal, and emphasising the cities that are more important within your signal.

Cuse I'm a radio nerd, 20 years ago I thought I was just so smart when I'd hide the legal ID in the current temps Id give... ".......... And that's your brevard county traffic and weather together... we have 79 in melbourne, 81 in vero beach, 82 in orlando and your current WTIR Cocoa Beach temperature is 78".

Even better was two sentences with the Legal ID in both of them. "It's 11 o clock at 102.9 WMGK. Philadelphia Weather, tonight cloudy..."
