A News FM Station Is Coming To Fort Walton Beach

105.7 had been around for awhile. When we picked up the public file, you could put it in a wheelbarrow. It had many applicants before we got it on the air. The FWB allocation has no wiggle room. That is why it is a class A.

Since Pensacola and Mobile both have translators on 106.9, I was hoping maybe FWB could move west to the WUWF tower... maybe after iHeart figures out or buys a way to move 107.3 closer to Mobile?

But hey, 100.3 is just as strong in most of Pensacola as the 97.1 translator, maybe 106.9 will be also.

Let's start placing bets on the City Of License awarded for the winning bid on 106.9A FWB in the Auction.

I'll take the non-existent community of Wright, FL.

Translators can be displaced at anytime and are subject to interference. 107.3 was downgraded a few years back for another move and won't go anywhere. The COL for the new FWB allocation will remain the same. I'll be out of radio before this station see the light of day. Nothing too see here. Move on.
