A rare aircheck of Broadway Bill Lee filling-in on KISS FM/HARTFORD

I think he was fine for the old 96-TICKS days, but he didn't seem to fit with WKSS-FM on this one. Sorry Bill! :(

He was a longtime mainstay at WTIC-FM 96.5 of Hartford, which had switched to Top 40 in June of 1977. He aludes to this "other station" near the end of this clip.

I agree with you. I don't care for most "guest dj" stuff because in most cases the jocks can't pull it off. Out of format.

I did the overnight shift before Bill's guest show and he asked me pull carts and help out. Then we went out for coffee after the show. Imagine how "star struck" I was. I have to find the picture we took. Anyone who did the Mike Joseph format was a god to me at the time (who am I kidding they still are).
Thanks for listening to the aircheck. Lots more where that came from at http://www.stevemcvie.com
