Progressive talkradio host Stephanie Miller, whose program airs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays on the Jolt KJLL 1330-AM, is coming to Tucson June 28 for a live performance from noon to 2 p.m. at Corleone’s Italian Ristorante, 6632 E. Tanque Verde Road. Tickets are $45, which includes hors d’oeuvres but not drinks.

WOW!!! What a great way to say thank you to your audience by charging them $45 bucks to meet you. No Thanks... I have to put gas in my car.

By the way, if you want to go to this "event" without paying the $45 bucks, just go there for lunch and hang out. My friend works there and says nobody has purchased any tickets. Why would you?

Re: STEPHANIE MILLER TUCSON RATINGS

no, stephanie miller and kjll have excellent ratings in tucson, see the article from the tucson weekly today

http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Currents/Content?oid=oid:112281

"My ratings have increased 4 1/2 times since I've been on the station, so I'm coming to have sex with each and every person in Tucson," said Miller, jokingly (probably). "I'm coming to get naked and lay in a pile for every person responsible for my ratings. We can just spoon if you want, Tucson."

Whatever the formula, Miller has been something of a boon for KJLL, which placed second among talk stations in the winter '08 ratings book. And while KJLL's overall 1.2 rating among listeners 12 and older doesn't look like a windfall, it has folks at the Jolt ecstatic--and others taking notice.

"Tucson is really important for us. The Jolt is not all conservative or all liberal, and that's how we feel radio ought to be. That's why we're using the Tucson story, our ratings there, to help change radio," Miller said.

btw if people want to be partisan and go after liberal radio, then why don't they go after nova-m and air america with their low ratings. jones (press, miller, schultz, clark howard) is the industry leader in liberal n/t syndication, along with alan colmes on fox

Um....ew. No thanks. Why in the world would she even think anyone would be interested in seeing her naked? So, she is a slut?

Ummm... it's a joke? Steph is a professional comedian?

Look "comedian" up in your Funk & Wagnall's.

Of course, I told the people at the Jolt to go libtalk after Pat Johnston exited and ratings plumetted from high-2s with some shows getting 4-5s in 35-64, to 0.5s and 0.6s. They've picked up a bit thanks to Stephanie, as well as Dr. Laura's continued dominance.

Funny, I told them to whore out some weekday time a couple of years back, too. Somehow, though, I have a funny feeling KQTH and KCUB are more profitable than the skirts running The Jolt. The point saying it's the #2 talk station 12+ isn't even true now; The Truth is #2 in the latest rolling average.

Oh, and Alan Colmes is on approximately two liberal talk stations. Most of his affiliations are conservative N/Ters.
