abc radio news 1/23 10AM cast..Britney Spears new single..and a tribute

Out of the break comes word that there is flack over the new Britney Spears single "If you seek Amy" (spell it out slowly like a third grader who has jump started puberty)..Outrage from a parental group, etc... and the story is immediately followed by the closing item....in which the city of Baltimore is going to honor one of its own by erecting a statue ... of Frank Zappa*

No controversy there, eh?

(Whoever organizes the top of the hour cast probably had a good laugh over that...)

* note: if your under 35, you ll need to consult Google....

Frank Zappa is vital to the lives of every American woman under 35. That record he made with his daughter in 1982 taught them all how to talk. :D

I heard that thing about the Zappa statue.
I didn't know they already had one in Lithuania too!
Boy, what you can learn about discover on the radio nyooooze these days....

I heard about the single title a while back and it made me think "Why would someone named Britney write a song about Amy?" Then I saw it spelled out "If U Seek Amy" and it was easier to figger. :D

Maybe I'm showing my age. After all, I'm no Britney fan. But, I don't get it.

I felt smart until now.

Please explain what I am apparently incapable of figuring out!

I get the F U part, but am lost after that.

You also got to mispronounce the "if" which I think throws off most of the effectiveness of the play on words for radio people and others who like to pronounce things right.
