The big question is whether they will double, triple or quadruple the anemic 1.4 rating (5M viewers) that the Dr Joel Fleischmann-NewsRadioLady legal drama has been getting.

Maura Tierney's probably better known for her years on ER. The problem with The Whole Truth is that it's not very good. I like Tierney and Morrow, so I've watched for 2 weeks, and I doubt I'll bother again.

The gimmick that makes it "different" is that there's an epilogue at the end, after the verdict, in which they tell you who's really guilty of the crime. One week, it turned out the defendant (Judd Hirsch in a little Numb3rs reunion) actually did take bribes, though he was found non guilty. In another, they revealed that it was the neighbor of the defendant who committed the murder.

But the gimmick isn't enough to make it more than just another routine legal drama.

OOPS. Actually Diane only got 33% more demo viewers as The Whole Truth did last week (1.8 to 1.4), although they did grab an extra million viewers older than 49+.
