Actor Gary Coleman dies of brain hemorrhage

Poor Conrad Bain. He lost a wife and a son in the same week. Plus he's lost two wives this year.

It's amazing that Conrad is still alive. He was already very much grey and balding when the show was on. He must be like 90 years old now!

You must be young, Skynet. Bain is 87; born in 1923. That means that when the show began its run in 1978, he was 55 - and when the show ended in 1985, he was 62.

I can confirm from personal experience that you can be "very much grey and/or balding" by your late 40s - by 55, it's a sure thing for the majority of men.

I'm just saying that he was in his 60's when the show was canceled 25 years ago. So I know that he's no spring chicken.

I agree with Skynet. Bain is fortunate to still be alive (as is Betty White). My Dad was Bain's age and we lost him 9 years ago. My uncle is turning 90 next week and we're have a big party for him!
